Peter Osterbauer MD
Prior to joining Alaska Neurology Center, Dr. Peter Osterbauer was with the 3rd Medical Group of Elmendorf Air Force Base, where he practiced Neurology for eight years and held positions as Vice Medical Director, Sleep Clinic Director, Traumatic Brain Injury Center Director, as well as Neurological Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Pacific Air Forces.
Dr. Osterbauer is originally from Tennessee, where he attended Lee University and graduated Summa Cum Laude, and went on to attend Medical School at the University of Tennessee. After completion of Medical School, Dr. Osterbauer completed an internal medicine internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, where he became Chief Resident of Neurology & Neuro-Sciences. Dr. Osterbauer treats all Neurological conditions in patients of all ages, but boasts specialized training and experience in headaches, migraines, myofascial pain syndrome and tension-related neck and back pain, as well as specialized diagnostic training in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) diagnosis and evaluation, deep brain stimulation and vagus nerve stimulation.
Dr. Osterbauer brings unique skills to the practice, including trigger point injections, EMG-Guided Botox therapy and occipital nerve block treatment.
